The Assistant President of Al-Ameed University for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul Raheem, accompanied by the Director of the University's Central Library, Dr. Waseem Talib, visited the Indexing and Information Systems Center, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine, to review the center's operational mechanisms and specialized units.
The delegation was received by the Center's Director, Mr. Hassanain Ahmed Hassan, who provided a detailed presentation on the nature of the center's work, its departments, and the indexing and digital archiving mechanisms adopted, in addition to the most prominent projects it implements to support the knowledge sector and academic libraries in Iraq.
The delegation also reviewed the Iraqi Portal of Knowledge (IPK) and its specialized scientific digital databases and resources, which contribute to serving researchers, students, and academics by making Iraqi resources available within an integrated and modern research environment.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul Raheem praised the significant efforts made by the Indexing and Information Systems Center in supporting the scientific research system and making academic knowledge available in a modern digital format. "We look forward to building future partnerships that result in joint projects serving researchers and students and contributing to the development of the university education environment in Iraq."
He added that this visit comes within the framework of the university's commitment to enhancing scientific and knowledge-based cooperation with advanced research institutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, the university delegation expressed admiration for the technical and organizational development witnessed at the center, praising the significant role it plays in advancing research and academic work.
